Edge Cleaning Skills For Hand-Coated Enamelware

The edge of daily enamel products is not easy to be coated evenly, and the dry powder in contact with the drying rack should be wiped off during drying. At the same time, due to the large force on the edge, it is necessary to replace the edge enamel with strong mechanical strength, so the edge should be cleaned first and then rolled. Clean edge refers to the operation of removing the enamel slurry or dry powder on the edge, which includes three methods: wiping, grinding and scraping.

Put the coated enamel products on the edge rack, and use a rubber (or sponge) to wipe off the enamel slurry on the edge, which is called edging; use water-soaked foam to grind off the dry powder on the edge of the powder blank, which is called edging; scrape off the edge Dry powder is called scraping.

The clean edge must be neat and clean, and the width should be consistent with the piping enamel. It can be carried out on a special photoelectric edger or mechanical edger (scraping) machine, or by hand. Wipe the edge with a car inner tube rubber, and cut the rubber into a gap. The size of the gap should be consistent with the edge of the product to ensure the quality of the edge. The thickness of the microcellular foam plastic used for edging is generally 10-15 mm. The wetness and dryness of the water and the amount of edging force are determined according to practice. Too dry or too little force will not grind clean, and too wet will easily cause watermark defects.
